Greetings Dear Friends,

I would like to thank each of you for visiting Eagle Lighthouse Tabernacle. I trust you will enjoy your visit, and pray that your walk with the Lord Jesus Christ will be enhanced by what you view or hear on our Web Page. We have made some changes to our church name, and location. Please allow me to explain the history of, and vision for this assembly Please feel free to contact the ministry of Eagle Lighthouse Tabernacle for your prayer requests, or missionary needs.

The beginning of this assembly goes back to about 1984. At that time, and until 2004, it was known as Keota Full Gospel Church, located at Keota, Oklahoma. From the beginning this has been an independent assembly. Never belonging to any religious organization, but existing as a sovereign church. This would figure significantly in the advancement of the assembly into the "Message of the Hour."

There was a movement of the Holy Spirit in the lives of a number of people in the Western Arkansas, and Eastern Oklahoma area, during the time the Keota Full Gospel Church was founded. This movement would usher the predestined Seed of God into the revelation of the restored Word of God, and would guide the assembly through the years.

The history of this Holy Spirit movement is too lengthy to include in its entirety in this article. However, I believe it would glorify God to speak of some of the avenues, and Saints He used to deliver the "Message of the Hour" to this area.

The original church building was constructed by the Arthur Hurst family of Keota, OK. Some of the children and grand-children of Brother Hurst currently attend Eagle Lighthouse Tabernacle.

Another man whom God used in this movement was Dalton J. Harp (Bro. D. J.). As a new convert God had placed within the heart of this young man a desire to learn more truth than he was hearing in the local churches. His thirst for knowledge led him to move to Cabool, MO. in 1982. There, he moved next door to Mr. Edwin Dobbs, a minister of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Eventually, he began a scriptural dialog with Mr. Dobbs, and his family. Having never heard some of the Bible based teachings which this minister taught; his first reaction was to get away from them as quickly as possible. As he started toward the door, Bro. D. J. felt the Holy Spirit gently tugging at his heart. He then stopped, and took time to hear what was being said.

Some of those Bible teachings which Bro. D. J. had never heard were that God had promised in His Word to send an Elijah prophet with a restoration ministry to the Gentile nations in the last days. Please see Matthew 17:11, Malachi 4:5, Revelation 10:7, etc. Also, the truth that the Serpent in the Garden had a seed and that his seed would be at enmity with the Seed of God until the White Throne of Judgment. Please see Genesis 3:15, Saint John 8:41-44, 1 John 3:12, etc.

Upon understanding these and other Biblical truths, Bro. D. J. began a search for others who could see that most ministers / churches were not teaching the fullness of the Bible. In June of 1985, this search led him to Surrey, British Columbia. There he met the pastor of Cloverdale Bibleway Church, Bro. Ed Byskal.

Brother Byskal had been a personal friend of the only man known in modern times who could fill the position of a prophet with an Elijah anointing. He had a firsthand knowledge of the teachings of Brother William Branham, the promised end-time prophet.

To these men, those doctrines mentioned, and other truths were like a light shining in a dark place. The light being the Word of God restored and revealed, and the dark places being the determination of ministers to not openly preach the revelations they could clearly see in the Scripture.

Bro. Harp returned to this area with a burning desire to help those whom he loved, and had been associated with to see that God had restored the truths that had been stripped from the Children of God during the dark ages. He proceeded to set up meetings where these mentioned truths could be preached.

It was with this blessing that the Keota Full Gospel Church opened its doors to one of these special meetings. The circumstance leading up to these meetings is indeed a testimony in itself. The best source to hear how this happened would be through an active member of the church, Bro. Ken Hurst of Keota, Oklahoma.

From those days until now, the church had been a place where spiritual growth and Christian fellowship have been encouraged. Indeed, we are still growing in each of these categories, and pray that we shall continue to do so until the Bride of Jesus Christ meets her groom in the air.

At this present time, and since November of 2001, I have been pastor of the assembly. I accepted the pastorate under what I feel is the leadership of the Holy Spirit. At the time I accepted the position there was a total of eight (8) adults in the assembly. Indeed, some thought it amazing that my wife Pamela and I would move to Keota. One needs to hear the testimony about how and why I feel the Lord spoke to me to accept the position of pastor of Keota Full Gospel Church.

After a few months, as my wife and I settled into the responsibilities of this position, the church began to operate under the direction I felt we should be going in our outreach ministries. Our "mission vision," was one area in which I went to work on soon after arriving in Keota. This vision is an outreach to the local area with the "Message of the Hour," as well as helping evangelize the mission fields of other countries with our support in as many areas as we find a need and an opportunity to minister in .

I thank God that He has added to the church men and women who are ordained to the above mentioned purpose. Their tireless efforts in giving, helping, and going are second to none when it comes to the ministry of the Word of God.

It is with these views in our vision that I felt the Lord was leading us to relocate the assembly to its present location. The building where the church had previously been meeting in Keota, Oklahoma has served, and is still serving the Bride of Jesus Christ well.

Having the assembly located in Pocola, Oklahoma has opened to us an area of ministry we heretofore were not able to reach. The cost for operating the facilities we now occupy is considerably more than it was at the Keota location. However, God has vindicated this move by sending souls that had found it very hard to assemble with us in our previous location. As we progress in reaching the area with the message of the Revelation of Jesus Christ, I feel that we will also experience His blessings on our efforts, and that souls will be added to His kingdom.

As for the name we have chosen, Eagle Lighthouse Tabernacle, I feel the following scriptures and quotes will explain the choosing of this name.

EXODUS 19:4   Ye have seen what I did unto the Egyptians, and how I bare you on eagles' wings, and brought you unto myself.

14    And to the woman were given two wings of a great eagle, that she might fly into the wilderness, into her place, where she is nourished for a time, and times, and half a time, from the face of the serpent.

7    But it shall be one day which shall be known to the LORD, not day, nor night: but it shall come to pass, [that] at evening time it shall be light.

E-44    And she walks back and forth over this nest. And then, sometimes, she will spread those great big wings out, flutter them back and forth. And them little eagles will--it'll just kinda shake them down a little, you know. And they'll look back, and "Oh, mama, what a great bird you are."
Oh, I just love that, because God's got two wings, the Old and New Testament. He spreads them out, and we look at it, and look up, and say, "How great Thou art. How great Thou art," when we hear that He opened the Red Sea and brought the children of Israel across, He raised Lazarus from the dead; He's the same yesterday, today, and forever; New and Old Testament; the same God, the same Jehovah, the same Holy Spirit right in the church today, moving back and forth. "See how great I am? I'm the same that delivered Moses. I'm the same that delivered Daniel. I'm the same One, that brought the Hebrew children out of the fiery furnace. I'm the same One was at Sodom and Gomorrah. I'm the same One that talked to Abraham. Oh, I AM THAT I AM. I AM present now."

E-16    We thank Thee for this church, and for its glorious survival. In the time of darkness, yet it stands as a lighthouse, a light that's set on a hill that shines out its rays out across the country, that weary, sin sick people might come in and sojourn with us to a better land.
God, bless its pastor, our precious brother. And we pray for his trustee board, deacon board, and for every member and every person that's sojourning here with these people, for these great churches through the country here, the Church of God and its great standing internationally, both of them. And, God, someday we believe the time will come when we'll be one, united together in the power of the Holy Spirit. Grant it, Lord. Plant the seeds now in this former rain, that when the latter rain begins to fall it'll bring forth ripened Gospel seeds. Grant it, Lord.
Bless us tonight now, Your unprofitable servant, as we endeavor to speak a few moments on these Words that lays before us. We ask that You'll give us a context of the text. We ask in Jesus' Name. Amen.
